Marketing System
All Jupiter machines will be clean and function.
There is nothing worse than fighting with a vending machine. By ensuring that the machines look and work like new, errors should be reduced leaving customer satisfied.
All Jupiter machines will have a unique name.
By naming each machine and displaying that name it creates a personal connection with customers. People will not be “Just getting a snack from the machine” they will be “Purchasing a favorite snack from Sofia.”
Leaning from retail.
A vending machine is a tiny storefront to sell goods, and it should be treated as such. Traditionally a vending machine organizes by snack type. Professor Jupiter Vending will organize by target market. For example Flaming Cheetos at the bottom where kids can see and barbecue chips in the middle for adults due to the same reason.
Purchases will also be tracked to get rid of unwanted product and maximize the sales of favorites. Every machine will adapt to the needs of the people it is serving.
Customer Service is a necessity.
Professor Jupiter Industries values creating a good experience for customer and employees. Form the bringing there will be a way to reach the company directly with any concerns. When there is enough income a 24/7 hotline will be made to assist in any way that we can imeadiately.
New systems needed.
With the innovation in stocking inventory, there needs to be innovation in the way that it is tracked and purchased as well.
Excel can only work for so long. Custom inventory tracking and analysis software shall be built as the company expands.
Another innovation would be the preloaded card system for the machines. This would work similarly to Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts, offering loyal customers rewards and speeding up cash intake.
Expansion of Business
Professor Jupiter Vending will expand across America.
By targeting hubs of transportation, the machines can get repeat commuter sales and the highest possible amount of foot traffic. With the card system in place it would encourage all travelers to pre pay for snacks along their journey. With each machine having a name it builds a type of novelty, a little social media push a trend of visiting machines can be started.
A less obvious expansion of the company is arcades.
When there is enough revenue from the machines the company can begin land investment. Some of this land can be used to house an arcade that takes arcade machines just as seriously as the vending machines.
